Fix the Problems. Create the Future.

Cook County is at a tipping point. The question before us is simple: will we keep accepting the same old, wasteful and inefficient government we have today, or will we demand one that is accountable to, and delivers for, the people?

Toni Preckwinkle has had more than a decade to prove her leadership as County President. Instead, she has left a trail of shady insider contracts, failed tax policies and reckless spending. Preckwinkle’s tenure has not been defined by progress, but instead by scandal and decline.

President Preckwinkle is entangled with a former political power broker, whose conviction in the ComEd bribery scandal laid bare the pay-to-play culture infecting our government.

A jury of her peers found Preckwinkle’s campaign fund guilty of defamation and issued a $1.4 million judgment against it for lying about a political candidate in 2023.

And Preckwinkle helped engineer the elevation and election of two of her political protégés: Mayor Brandon Johnson and former State’s Attorney Kim Foxx. Their failed public safety policies have made our streets less safe and our justice system less accountable.

On President Preckwinkle’s watch, Cook County has continued to raise taxes while core services deteriorate. Public safety has eroded, property taxes are crushing local homeowners and wasteful spending continues to be business as usual. Instead of adapting and forcing government to evolve, Preckwinkle has doubled down on out-date, failed approaches: spending good money after bad, while fiscal problems continue to fester.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Brendan Reilly has spent his career standing up to the powerful and getting results for his constituents. He unseated a 36-year incumbent entrenched in Chicago's political machine. He’s brought transparency to government decision-making, reined in reckless spending and has put his constituents first - even when it meant having to stand-up to four different Chicago mayors.

He's ready to bring that same results-driven leadership to Cook County.

Reilly's vision is clear:

  • Root out corruption and restore public trust.

  • Stop reckless spending and focus on return-on-investment governance.

  • Make Cook County safer with modern, data-driven public safety strategies.

  • Expand opportunity through housing, job growth and property tax relief.

The choice is between more of the same old broken politics or a more efficient government that fixes the problems and shapes the future.

Cook County deserves better. Brendan Reilly is ready to deliver it.
